I'm considering the head-to-head record between Leverkusen and Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Historically, Dortmund seems to have the edge, with around 36 or 37 wins noted. Leverkusen joined the league in 1979, having played Dortmund numerous times. According to records as of February 2023, Dortmund has 36 wins, Leverkusen has 30, and there are about 15 draws. It sounds reasonable that Leverkusen has lost to Dortmund 37 times, especially since they've lost to Bayern even more, about 48 times.
